In-Kind Donations

Track noncash gifts with source notes and review

In-Kind Donations let you record noncash gifts such as goods, services, volunteer activity, equipment, or supplies with categories and supporting notes. Your organization decides what value context to retain and what acknowledgment language is appropriate; Gratona does not determine deductibility or fair market value.

The Problem

Non-cash gifts are often tracked informally or not at all, leading to underreported donor generosity, missing tax documentation, and an incomplete picture of organizational support.

The Solution

With Gratona In-Kind Donations, supported noncash gifts can stay connected to the donor record with categories, notes, and reviewed acknowledgment treatment.

How it works

1

Record the gift

Log the in-kind donation with a description, category (goods, services, etc.), fair market valuation, and the donor who contributed it.

2

Assign valuation

Record the value context and supporting notes your finance policy permits. Gratona does not validate or determine the donor's tax value.

3

Generate receipts

Use the configured acknowledgment workflow and review the noncash-gift language with finance before sending it to the donor.
